62 Castle St was originally called Trials Hotel and with this name change came major refurbishments, resulting in the luxury hotel surroundings you will find today. Designed in 1867 by Lilly and Littler, the hotel, formally known as Trials Hotel, is one of the most attractive landmarks in the city.
It is not called Trials Hotel anymore as the name 62 Castle St was seen as more fitting – indeed, the address of the hotel is 56-62 Castle Street. It is an impressive building from the outside and it also has an astounding interior. Come and see for yourself at this great hotel and we are confident you will be impressed enough to tell your friends all about your stay. If you want to spread the word, just remember it is 62 Castle St and no longer Trials Hotel!

Staircase
This exclusive hotel has many beautiful original features, including the staircase, made of mahogany and wrought iron, which is the centrepiece of the hotel lobby. Other original features include carved pilasters, cornices, balustrades, swags and rusticated arches.
